The RRECQ and CIRODD invite researchers, professionals, policymakers, and citizens to submit a proposal for a presentation at Symposium 613, titled “Building Bridges Between Research and Stakeholder Communities for Circular, Sustainable, and Regenerative Impact.”

This symposium will be held on Thursday, May 14, and Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) and online, as part of the Acfas conference.

While the circular economy and sustainable development occupy a central place in the scientific literature, their implementation remains complex for stakeholders on the ground, who often face constraints related to resources, knowledge, and regulatory frameworks. This situation raises questions about the ability of circular economy (CE) research to provide concrete support for actions carried out on the ground, particularly through the co-creation of knowledge and the development of methodologies that promote the sustainable adoption of innovations.

In a context where territorial and sectoral transitions require increased collaboration, it is becoming essential to understand how scientific research can serve as a catalyst for collective innovation, social cohesion, and the regeneration of social and natural systems. This call for proposals therefore invites reflection on the conditions, tools, and indicators needed to strengthen stakeholders’ capacity for action and to make the circular economy and sustainable development drivers of societal transformation.

The conference is organized around five main themes:

  • Circular practices in organizations
  • The diffusion of innovations
  • Regions of economic and circular activity
  • Sectoral perspectives: diversity and specific characteristics
  • Circularity, sustainability, and regeneration

By bringing together a wide range of stakeholders and highlighting innovative projects, this conference aims to accelerate the transition to an inclusive and resilient circular economy. It provides a space for collective reflection to develop concrete solutions, showcase advances in knowledge, and foster new collaborations in the fields of circularity and sustainable development.
