The aim of TPS E1 on circular economy practices in organizations is to identify the levers, resources, iThe objective of the TPS E1 is to provide an overview, establish a status report on the circularity of Quebec, and track its evolution through various indicators.

  • What are the measurable impacts of the transition to a circular economy in Quebec, in terms of circularity rates, recycling, and material footprint?
  • How to assess the effectiveness of current legislative and public policies on the circular economy and what are their predictive implications?
  • What are the socio-professional challenges associated with the transition to a circular economy in Quebec, both at the social level and for workers and organizations?
  • How to measure and compare circularity at different territorial (national, regional, municipal), organizational, and industrial scales?
  • How to structure an effective infrastructure to consolidate and share data on the circular economy, meeting the needs of practitioners, municipalities, and governments?
  • What is the impact of upcoming standards on Quebec’s manufacturing industries in terms of competitiveness?
  • What is the nature and quality of jobs created within the circular economy framework, especially in social economy enterprises, and how does this influence the job market?

E1 is focusing on the state of circularity is led by a team of three researchers. They are responsible for proposing the directions of TPS and represent a diversity of research in circular economy concerning measurement aspects at various scales.
