Biography

Looking for a research assistant

Éric Mateu-Huon, B.Ed., M.Sc., member of the Ordre des administrateurs agréés du Québec, works as a teacher-researcher at Cégep André-Laurendeau, where he passionately shares his expertise in digital business management. His career path over the past twenty-five years has seen him hold strategic positions within the Desjardins Group, and distinguish himself as CEO of an innovative company with a dozen patents in the energy-efficient technology sector (data centers). Aware of the transformational impact of automation on the job market, he adopts a forward-looking vision that embraces the disruptive potential of work automation in Quebec, and sees it as an essential pillar in anticipating the trades and skills of the future.

Actively involved in the redesign of college technical programs, he is convinced that digital transformation and the principles of sustainability are essential to harmonious economic development. His Master's degree in Sustainable Development Management from HEC Montréal enriches his perspective on the challenges of the circular economy, which he integrates into his teaching approach and action research activities, preparing his students to become key players in an economy that respects resources and promotes responsible consumption. As an active member of the Futuribles International think tank, Éric is resolutely committed to remaining at the cutting edge of prospective thinking, helping to define the strategies that will inform today's decisions towards a sustainable future.
