Here with Navi Radjou | Frugal Economy: Leading Regenerative Growth
We all agree we must build a better economic system that revitalizes and grows people, communities, and the planet. Sadly, to paraphrase Einstein: « We can’t create a new economy with the same mindset that created the old one ».
The current mindset in our capitalist economy is based on ruthless competition, centralized production and concentration of power, and unrestrained extraction of natural resources that lead to their depletion.
To build a better economy, we must develop a new mindset that is based on cooperation, distribution, and regeneration – three qualities found in Nature that would counteract the three flaws of capitalism.
We face, however, the “chicken or egg” paradox: should we build a new mindset first or build a new economy first ? Award-winning management thinker Navi Radjou suggests we do both at the same time in a mutually reinforcing way.
Using +100 inspiring examples, Navi’s new book shows how can build a frugal economy that creates greater economic and social and ecological value while also minimizing waste and emissions.
This frugal economy is no utopia. It is rapidly emerging and is supported by three core pillars: B2B sharing, distributed manufacturing and hyper-local value networks, and triple regeneration. Each of these pillars represents a multi-trillion-dollar market opportunity. A new generation of wise customers and innovators are accelerating the rise of the frugal economy.
During this webinar, Navi will introduce the frugal economy and delve into its three core pillars. He will identify the conceptual and practical synergies between a frugal economy and a circular economy. He will explain how a frugal economy offers a wise middle path between degrowth and hypergrowth that he calls “regenerative growth”.
