Description
This research project aims to develop an approach for measuring circularity on a territorial scale.
It proposes a methodological framework based on three complementary components: regionalization of national indicators, co-construction of a participatory taxonomy and development of scenarios to aid decision-making. The aim is to provide local players with flexible, standardized tools adapted to their own realities, in order to better manage and evaluate their efforts to implement circularity.
By combining theoretical analysis and practical application, this research aims to support a circular transition anchored in the territories. It paves the way for future work on the concrete implementation of these tools in different territorial contexts through case studies (MRC de Pierre-de-Saurel, Laurentides region), and on the evaluation of their long-term effectiveness.
The project is based on three objectives:
- Design and test a statistical method for cascading circularity monitoring indicators developed at national level to the sub-national territorial level, taking into account economic, demographic and geographic particularities.
- Develop and enrich a taxonomy of territorial indicators using a weighting method that reveals local specificities and the preferences of territorial stakeholders.
- Develop a comparative multi-criteria scenario evaluation process to support public decision-makers in their implementation and monitoring of circularity.
