Biography

Luciano Barin Cruz is a full professor in the Department of Management at HEC Montréal. He is Director of Pôle Ideos, the Social Impact Management Pole at HEC Montréal. He also holds a professorship in research on organizational models and social impact, and is responsible for creating an ecosystem on societal impact for HEC Montréal. Professor Barin Cruz has worked on multiple projects in the fields of social impact, entrepreneurship, international development and sustainable development. His projects have been developed in collaboration with and with the support of Global Affairs Canada, the Inter-American Development Bank, Swiss Cooperation, the Government of Quebec, the City of Montreal and Développement international Desjardins. He currently leads the SEED Network, an initiative aimed at building the capacity of local microfinance and entrepreneurship promoters and the entrepreneurs they support. He is also Chairman of the Board of the Maison de l'innovation sociale (MIS) and a member of the Board of Directors of HEC Montréal. His research projects have been published in numerous scientific journals and have generated impact for his partner organizations.
