Biography

Julien Trochu, M.Sc.A., Ph.D., specializes in sustainable logistics, reverse logistics, and the circular economy. Originally from France, he studied industrial engineering at the University of Technology of Troyes before pursuing his master's and doctoral degrees at the École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS) in Montreal. His thesis focused on the design of sustainable logistics networks under uncertainty, a topic that remains central to his work.

He has had the opportunity to collaborate with industrial and government stakeholders, notably during his postdoctoral fellowship at Polytechnique Montréal, where he worked on the recovery of residual plastics in Quebec. His research has led him to publish in several international scientific journals and participate in numerous conferences in these fields.

After several years applying optimization and simulation tools as a supply chain consultant, he also developed a passion for teaching and sharing knowledge, which is why he is now a professor at ÉTS.

His goal is simple: to bridge the gap between academic innovation and industrial needs in order to build smarter, more efficient, and more environmentally friendly supply chains.
