Charlotte Dautremont

Emerging from her master's degree in architecture (2010 ISA St Luc Brussels UCLouvain), her ecological awakening came during the major renovation of her home in 2015, when she came into contact with “waste,” concrete mixers, and polyurethane. This awakening led her to pursue continuing education for nearly a decade, culminating in her certification as an eco-advisor in 2017. In 2019, Charlotte returned to academia, first becoming a researcher for two European Erasmus+ projects at the Laboratory of Digital Culture in Architecture (LNA) at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Liège (Belgium). As part of the BIMGame project, she co-organized a two-day meeting and workshop for European students on BIM practices and the reuse of materials from RotorDC. Her reflections as a reflective practitioner led her to pursue a doctoral degree at ULiège in partnership with the integrated design office BSolutions, funded by the Wallonia Public Service. Defended in 2023, her thesis questions collaborative and multidisciplinary eco-design practices in architecture and the place of digital practices.
