Biography
Cédric Fouillland is a lecturer, researcher, consultant, and project leader in the field of the circular economy. A graduate engineer from Imperial College London, he worked for nine years in the energy and transportation sectors. After earning a Master’s degree in Public Policy Evaluation and International Relations from Jean Moulin University – Lyon 3 in 2004, he participated in and led a dozen consulting missions in the field of international development cooperation, in Central Africa from 2005 to 2009 and in Central America from 2009 to 2012.
Cédric developed his expertise in the circular economy following the September 2013 Environmental Conference, drawing on publications and conferences throughout 2014. Since then, he has participated in several circular economy projects in the Lyon region, notably the creation of a third place dedicated to ethical and sustainable fashion. He currently leads the development of the Your Labcare project for the reuse of biology research laboratory equipment.
Since 2022, he has been an associate professor at Jean Moulin – Lyon 3 University in the Department of Planning and Territorial Sciences (ASTRE), where he co-directs the “Territorial Planning and Sustainable Development” track within the Master’s program in “Territorial Management and Local Development.” He serves as the “ecological transition” liaison for Lyon 3 University with the International Alliance of Francophone Mediterranean Universities (AIME).
Since 2017, he has also been working as a consultant on these topics.
