Biography
Annie Levasseur is Professor of Environmental Engineering in the Department of Construction Engineering at École de technologie supérieure, holds the Canada Research Chair on Measuring the Impact of Human Activities on Climate Change and is Scientific Directo of the Institut AdapT. She is also Scientific Director of CERIEC, the Centre d'études et de recherches intersectorielles en économie circulaire, and a member of the Climate Change Advisory Committee of the Ministère de l'Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques. A process engineer by training, she worked for eight years in the petrochemical industry before reorienting her career towards academia. In addition to her research on environmental impact modeling, she teaches life cycle assessment and the integration of environmental and sustainable development aspects into engineering projects.
