Biography

Anne-Marie Boulay has been an assistant professor at Polytechnique Montréal since 2019. Since 2008, she has been a member of the International Reference Center for the Life Cycle of Products (CIRAIG), where she was a researcher between 2017 and 2019. She coordinated the WULCA working group to build consensus towards a harmonized method for assessing water use in LCA and is co-founder and co-chair of the international working group MarILCA (Marine Impacts in LCA), supported by the UNEP Life Cycle Initiative, which is leading the development of metrics to assess the impacts of plastic emissions in the environment. She is the Canadian Chair of ISO TC207/SC5 on Life Cycle Assessment and one of six professors leading the Life Cycle Consortium, an international research partnership between Polytechnique Montréal and UQAM in Canada, and EPFL and HES-SO in Switzerland. Finally, she teaches several courses on LCA and LCIA, and supervises a team of 10 to 15 students.
