Julie Larivière : Launch of the Synergie Québec 2026 collection: perspectives on the evolution of a network serving local communities and the circular transition

Born out of an applied research project on the circular economy and social innovation led by the Center for Technology Transfer in Industrial Ecology (CTTÉI), Synergie Québec has grown over the years to become a Quebec-based network of experts committed to advancing the circular economy across the province. To mark the virtual launch of the Synergie Québec 2026 Compendium, this webinar will offer a retrospective look at the evolution of this unique initiative, its role in the development of the circular economy in Quebec, and the value it creates for organizations and communities. Through the report’s key findings and examples—enriched by the panelists’ experiences and perspectives—participants will discover how synergies, particularly through regional engagement and the development of transformative projects, foster regional collaboration and the adoption of circularity strategies. This event will also provide an opportunity to reflect on the lessons learned from more than a decade of collective action and applied research, the factors that have supported Synergie Québec’s evolution, and potential avenues for the future.

About the speaker

Julie Larivière is a project manager at the Center for Technology Transfer in Industrial Ecology (CTTÉI), a leading applied research center in the circular economy in Quebec for over 25 years. She holds a master’s degree in environmental studies from the University of Sherbrooke and is a graduate of the short graduate program in environmental education at the University of Quebec in Montreal. Since joining the CTTÉI in 2022, Julie has contributed to several major projects, notably by coordinating the EFC Québec project and co-developing RECYC-QUÉBEC’s Toolkit for a Regional Roadmap to the Circular Economy.
