Every third Thursday of the month, join us for CEEminars, seminars exploring the intersection of economics and the circular economy.
This initiative is a Quebec-France-Switzerland collaboration led by the RRECQ and the Distributional Effects of Circular Economy Policies (DECEP).
Why bring up the economy when discussing circularity?
Although the economic aspects of the circular economy are frequently discussed in the economic literature, economists still struggle to fully embrace the term “circular economy.” It remains a relatively unstructured field, and the development of intellectual leadership in this area will help establish analytical foundations and inform the development of effective policies related to the circular economy.
The Circular Economy in Economics Seminars (CEEminars) will bring together world-leading economists whose pioneering contributions can shape the trajectory of circular economy research and elevate its visibility within the broader economics community. The series will provide a platform to consolidate state-of-the-art knowledge, stimulate critical debates, and position circular economy as an important field within environmental and resource economics.
This intellectual exchange will not only strengthen the project’s conceptual and methodological basis but also demonstrate academic leadership in guiding circular economy research towards greater coherence and policy relevance.
