Biography
Emilie Fortin-Lefebvre is a professor in the Department of Management at UQAM's École des sciences de la gestion. Her most recent work focuses on entrepreneurial support in an aboriginal context and economic autonomy in Nunavik. More broadly, her research interests lie in the relationship between economic autonomy, the link to the territory, entrepreneurship, economic development and public policy. She currently anchors her commitment to indigenous populations by directing the Centre d'études pour l'autonomie économique des Premiers Peuples et des Inuit (AEPPI Study Centre). This brings together aboriginal and academic expertise with the aim of developing shared knowledge that meets the needs of aboriginal peoples.
