Biography
Bernard Korai is Associate Professor in the Department of Agroeconomics and Consumer Sciences at Université Laval. A passionate researcher, his scientific activities revolve around sustainability issues that cut across the vast field of consumption. More specifically, he is interested in the psychological determinants (e.g. perceptions, beliefs, representations, attitudes and disincentives) that condition, from a consumer/citizen analysis perspective, the social receptiveness of certain types of behavior at the heart of sustainability and circularity issues.
His current research in the field of circularity focuses on two main areas: on the one hand, the macro-axis, where he is interested in the architecture of public policies aimed at sustainably embedding circular practices at the heart of citizens' consumption behaviors; and on the other, the micro-axis, where he explores the incentives and barriers to the adoption of these circularity practices on an individual scale. The bio-food sector mobilizes a large part of Professor Korai's research applications. D. and MBA in marketing from Université Laval.
