Call for papers – Symposium 614 – Social Sciences and Humanities, Arts and Letters: Borderless perspectives on the circular economy
Faced with the growing limitations of our economic model, several transition approaches seek to rethink the way we produce, consume, and manage resources. While the circular economy is often associated with technological and industrial innovations, it also requires a detailed understanding of its social, cultural, and symbolic dimensions. Addressing these issues requires examining the human, institutional, and narrative dynamics that shape the transition.
The Quebec Circular Economy Research Network (RRECQ) invites researchers, artists, and practitioners to submit proposals for presentations at the conference entitled “Social Sciences and Humanities, Arts and Letters: Borderless Perspectives on the Circular Economy.”
The conference will take place on May 12, 2026, at the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières and online, as part of the Acfas Congress. The call for papers is open until February 8, 2026.
