Professor Rafael Ziegler and his research team have developed the circular economy collection for PortailCoop, HEC Montréal’s digital library on cooperatives and mutuals. Discover the summary of their work.
Summary
The project updated the circular economy collection of PortailCoop, the world’s largest digital library on cooperatives. As part of the project, tools and research on the circular economy at the crossroads of cooperatives and SMEs were identified, resulting in a collection of over 450 items. In addition, the use of the collection for SMEs was studied through interviews, and an explanatory video was added to the collection.
About “The Circular Economy Collection: a concept embedded in the cooperative tradition“
The collection offers cooperatives and the research community knowledge, inspiration and tools at the intersection of cooperatives, the social economy and the circular economy. The Toolbox section offers tools to help cooperatives advance their circular strategies. The Knowledge section provides access to several types of documents under each theme. The Examples of circular cooperatives section provides examples of cooperatives pursuing circular strategies.
Examples include the CCRABE (cooperative and circular model in response to a need), a supplier evaluation tool, a GHG calculator, the guide Réaliser une analyse des coûts des flux de matières, and more.
