Biography

Omur's current research focuses on condensed matter physics. He is developing advanced scanning probe microscopy techniques and implementing them in exotic materials, energetic materials and low-dimensional systems. This work includes standard experimental and computational approaches aimed at elucidating the performance of the tools he develops. Omur is also developing the computational tools needed to acquire large volumes of experimental data and to explore the data.
