Biography

Michelle Rodrigue, Ph.D., CPA is Professor at the School of Accounting at Université Laval (Québec, Canada). While her research focuses on sustainability accounting, her research interests range from the multiple sustainability challenges raised by corporate stakeholders to the role that accounting and reporting play in developing and addressing these challenges. Committed to engagement in the research and practice communities, she is co-editor of the Social and Environmental Accountability Journal and an editorial board member of many leading academic accounting journals. She is a board member of the Centre for Social and Environmental Accounting Research (University of St. Andrews). Also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA (Canada)), she engages with the Canadian accounting profession on the means to train accounting practitioners on sustainability issues. Wishing to transfer her research into the classroom, Michelle teaches accounting, auditing and governance for sustainability at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
