Biography

Mariya Marinova is Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at the Royal Military College of Canada. She holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Agro-Resource Sciences from the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse. Her research interests include processes for converting biomass into biofuels and chemicals, biorefinery technologies, energy efficiency of industrial processes, process modeling and simulation. In addition to her research activities, she teaches courses on process design, environmental and bioprocess engineering, and introduction to sustainable development in engineering. She has participated in the creation and organization of the BIOFOR International Conference and other scientific events.
