Biography

François Saunier joined the CIRAIG team as a Research Associate in January 2013. He holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from École Nationale Supérieure des Industries Chimiques (France) and completed an M.Sc. A. in chemical engineering from Polytechnique Montréal in 2012. He has acquired substantial experience in conducting LCA studies related to several fields, including mining and metals, chemical processes, agrifood, wood products and buildings. He also works on/with Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCA), Organizational LCA and Material Flow Analysis (MFA). The application of these tools to projects linked to circular economy concepts enriches decision-making by providing information on the associated environmental, social and economic impacts.

Since November 2022, he has been Deputy Executive Director at CIRAIG, coordinating the center's activities and projects related to the circular economy, sustainable infrastructure and carbon neutrality.
