Biography

Florimond holds a Ph.D. in chemistry, specializing in materials science. He has worked on projects involving the valorization of industrial by-products (metallurgical slag), the development of concretes incorporating recycled aggregates (RAG/RAS behavior) and 3D concrete printing. He is an expert in the sintering of carbide-type ceramic materials (silicon carbide) and in the formulation and characterization of refractory materials (shaped and unshaped). His activities at the CTTÉI are directly linked to the circular economy, in particular the valorization of industrial by-products and residues for the development of new construction materials with a reduced carbon footprint.
