Biography

Fabiano Armellini, is Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Industrial Engineering and head of the Management and Globalization of Technology (GMT) research group at Polytechnique Montréal in Canada. He holds bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees in mechanical engineering from the Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo in Brazil. Prior to his position as professor, Mr. Armellini accumulated 10 years' experience as a practitioner in innovation management and new product development engineering, mainly in the aerospace and defense sectors. As a researcher, Mr. Armellini has authored over 70 publications, including scientific journal articles, book chapters, technical reports and conference papers. His research focuses on innovation management, technology entrepreneurship and the development of new products and services, with a particular interest in open and collaborative innovation and the strategic management of technology at the firm level. His research interests in the circular economy focus on green product development (eco-design), green innovation and the orchestration and collaborative management of circular ecosystems.
