The recently adopted ISO 59004 standard marks a turning point in the structuring of the circular economy on a global scale. But what does it really contain? What definition of the circular economy does it adopt? What strategies are recognized in the standard, and how are they integrated into a structured approach?

In this webinar, we will offer a structured overview of the ISO 59004 standard—its logic, terminology, key principles, and the action strategies it identifies as pillars of systemic change.

We will highlight:

  • How the standard defines the circular economy as a comprehensive and systemic approach.
  • The key strategies that have gained international consensus.
  • The key similarities and differences with the Quebec framework, particularly regarding the approaches adopted.

This webinar also serves as a gateway to a full training series developed in partnership with CPEQ, offering a deeper dive into each of the strategic axes outlined in the standard.
