Biography

Romain Vial is in charge of research and foresight at CIRIDD (Centre International de Ressources et d'Innovation pour le Développement Durable), while completing his PhD in Management Sciences at the CoActiS laboratory of the Université Jean Monnet in Saint Étienne (France). He also teaches extra-financial performance measurement, sustainable performance management control and CSR. His research focuses on the transformation of corporate finance through the valuation of the performance of more sustainable business models such as the circular and functionality economy. Prior to this, he spent 15 years in various finance departments of a major French retail group.
