Biography

I am a quantitative ecologist interested in community response to climate change and human impacts, and biodiversity conservation. I use field surveys, laboratory experiments, long-term datasets, and (recently) genetic analysis to address my research questions. I have mostly used dragonflies in my research, but I am interested in other groups of insects as well as birds and plants.
I am also highly interested in communicating science to the public, engaging the public in scientific research, and improving the academic environment by advocating justice, equity, diversity and inclusion.
