Biography

Dr. Mazdak Nik-Bakht is an Associate Professor in the Department of Building, Civil, and Environmental Engineering at Concordia University. He earned his first PhD in Structural Engineering and a second PhD in Construction Engineering & Management. With more than 100 publications, Dr. Nik-Bakht’s research focuses on automation and digital transformation of the built environment with specific attention to Applied AI in Construction; Digital Twins; and Construction/Deconstruction Circularity. Mazdak is currently the Chair of Construction Division at Canadian Society of Civil Engineering; Director of Compleccity Lab; and a Co-director of the Centre for Innovation in Construction & Infrastructure Engineering and Management.
