Biography

As regular member of the Centre interdisciplinaire de recherche en opérationnalisation du développement durable (CIRODD), her expertise lies at the intersection of environmental sciences (biology, ecology) and design (eco-conception, responsible design).

Her research focuses on responsible production and consumption approaches (local design, Do-IT-Yourself, etc.) and the development of environmental policy tools (environmental display of lifespan, right to repair, etc.). Claudia uses design approaches and methodologies to pose and solve societal and environmental problems.

The research projects in which she's involved have as their common thread transdisciplinary collaboration, enabling academic researchers to "work" together with players from the private, public and associative sectors. To this end, Claudia has collaborated with members of the Ministère de l'Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, Équiterre, Jalon Montréal, Écoentreprises Québec, the Bureau d'audiences publiques sur l'environnement, Option consommateurs, Insertech and others.
