Biography

Dr. Mehdi Rhaiem is an assistant professor of entrepreneurship and innovation at the Telfer School of Management. He holds a PhD in management sciences from Laval University and received a postdoctoral research fellowship from the Fonds de recherche du Québec at Polytechnique Montréal. He is also a member of the Canada Research Chair in Innovation Management and Economics at Polytechnique Montréal. Before joining the Telfer School of Management, he taught undergraduate and graduate courses in management and strategy at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences at Laval University. At Telfer, he teaches undergraduate courses on entrepreneurship, innovation, and strategy. Professor Rhaiem's research focuses primarily on measuring efficiency in organizations, knowledge management and transfer, strategic innovation management, and the evaluation of research and science and technology systems. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Business Research, Scientometrics, and Applied Economics. His current work focuses on measuring digital maturity in the manufacturing industry in order to identify levers for improvement leading to smart organizations.
