Biography

El Ghachi Mohamed, is a professor at the Université Sultan Moulay Slimane, Faculté des Lettres et des Sciences Humaines- Béni Mellal in Morocco, in the Department of Geography. Specialized in climatology, hydrology, risk and planning, he defended his 3rd cycle doctorate in geography in 2007 at the Université Paul Verlaine Metz - France and defended his HDR in 2014 at the Faculté des Lettres et des Sciences Humaines - Béni Mellal in Morocco. His professional career is marked by several positions and functions. Director of the Geography Department from 2017 to 2023 and coordinator of the "Dynamique des Milieux Naturels" Master's degree at the Université Sultan Moulay Slimane, Faculté des Lettres et des Sciences Humaines in Béni Mellal from 2015 to 2019. Currently, expert scientific evaluators with CNRST - Morocco, under contract with the Center, until 2025.

El Ghachi Mohamed is a member of the "Air Climat" association, a member of the Association National des Géographes Marocains, a member of the Association Internationale de Climatologie, a member of the Association Marocaine de Géomorphologie, a member of the "Hydrosystèmes Continentaux" commission in Paris, France, and a former representative of the Sultan Moulay Slimane University for climate change with local institutions (Beni Mellal-Kénifra region, Morocco). He has also led and supervised several research projects in Morocco and France.
