Biography

Fereshteh Mafakheri is an assistant professor at the École nationale d'administration publique (ENAP). She has a mixed background in management and engineering disciplines. This has helped her to pursue multi-disciplinary research activities focusing on the socio-economic, political and technological aspects of supply chain management in the energy sector and the field of public sector services. Dr Mafakheri has active research projects in bioenergy supply chains, where she aims to recover waste from the agricultural and forestry sectors for bioenergy production. In addition, Dr. Mafakheri has promoted circular economy research into the optimal design and operation of reverse supply chains where used products are collected, sorted and redistributed for reuse, refurbishment or recycling. Her research has been funded by NSERC, MITACS and NRCan. She obtained her PhD in Decision Sciences from HEC Montréal, as well as a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Systems Engineering.
