Biography

Claude Villeneuve is a biologist. For over 45 years, he has divided his career between higher education, research and fieldwork in environmental sciences. He is currently a full professor in the Department of Basic Sciences at UQAC, and heads the Chair in Eco-Consulting and the "Boreal Carbon" research infrastructure.

He has published thirteen books, including five on climate change. He and his team have also developed a series of tools for systemic sustainability analysis, including the Sustainability Analysis Grid recognized by the United Nations in 2017.

A sought-after speaker, he is renowned for his ability to popularize science. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards and accolades.
